Material properties
Grade 5 medical titanium wire uses Grade 5 titanium material, the same as TC4. The core composition is Ti-6Al-4V. It belongs to the α+β two-phase titanium alloy. The strength is twice that of pure titanium material, but the density is 60% that of pure titanium. As the material for medical use, its biocompatibility and corrosion resistance are the core features. In acidic and alkaline environments, its corrosion resistance is twice that of steel. As human-friendly materials, it is non-toxic and non-irritating and has no adverse effects on the human body.
