There are many processing methods for titanium pipe fittings, many of which fall within the category of mechanical processing. The most commonly used ones are stamping, forging, roller processing, rolling, bulging, stretching, bending, and combined processing. Pipe fitting processing is an organic combination of machining and metal pressure processing.

The following is an example for illustration:

  1. Forging method: Use a die forging machine to extend the end or part of the pipe to reduce the outer diameter. Commonly used die forging machines include rotary type, connecting rod type, and roller type. Stamping method: On a press, the tube end is expanded to the required size and shape using a conical core.
  2. Roller method: Place the core inside the tube and press the outer edge with a roller, which is used for round edge processing.
  3. Rolling method: Generally, no mandrel is used, and it is suitable for the inner round edge of thick-walled tubes.
  4. Bending forming method: There are three commonly used methods. One is called the stretching method, another is called the stamping method, and the third is the roller method, which is more familiar to everyone. It has 3 to 4 rollers, two fixed rollers, and one adjusting roller. By adjusting the distance between the fixed rollers, the finished pipe fittings can be bent. This method is widely applied. If spiral tubes are produced, the curvature can be further increased.
  5. Bulging method: One approach is to place rubber inside the tube and compress it with a punch above to make the tube protrude and form a shape. Another method is hydraulic bulging forming. Liquid is filled in the middle of the pipe, and the liquid pressure bulges the pipe into the required shape. The production of most of the corrugated pipes we commonly use adopts this method.
