The new materials industry in China's Titanium valley is expanding at a faster pace and the pace of intelligent manufacturing upgrades is continuously accelerating. As a provincial-level key new materials project in Baoji, the construction site of the intelligent manufacturing park for aerospace precision titanium-zirconium alloys is in full swing. Factory buildings and equipment are being installed intensively, and the main structure of the office building is being constructed in an orderly manner. The overall project progress has reached 65%, and the construction momentum is far exceeding expectations.

The total investment of this project is 350 million yuan. It focuses on strategic fields such as aerospace, ship and marine, low-altitude economy, and high-end equipment. It is positioned as an integrated base for the research and manufacturing of high-end special titanium-zirconium materials, which will completely upgrade the traditional titanium processing mode in the region and fill the capacity gap of high-end titanium-zirconium precision components.
Since the project started construction in August last year, it has adhered to high standards in construction and high efficiency in progress. It has innovatively adopted a construction model where civil engineering construction and equipment installation are carried out concurrently, significantly shortening the construction period. Currently, the main body, roof and wall works of the production plant have been fully completed, the installation of core production equipment is in the final stage, and supporting facilities are being improved simultaneously. The entire project is expected to be officially completed and put into trial operation in October this year.
Unlike traditional material processing factories, the most remarkable feature of this project lies in the implementation of a full-process digital and intelligent production system. The project will establish an independently developed digital and intelligent management platform and an intelligent production system, enabling real-time monitoring of production data, intelligent adjustment of process parameters, and seamless integration of the entire plant's operations. Through digitalization, it will completely revolutionize the traditional processing and control models, significantly improving product accuracy, yield rate, and production efficiency.
At the level of advanced manufacturing equipment, the project has configured an industry-leading production matrix. It has introduced a ten-thousand-ton rapid forging unit, customized and developed multi-station linkage and closed-loop controllable intelligent production equipment, and combined with a fully automatic rail transportation system to achieve full-process automation of billet transportation, forging processing, and precise forming. At the same time, it is equipped with specialized heat treatment lines and precision machining centers, forming an integrated high-end titanium-zirconium alloy manufacturing chain from raw material processing, forming and forging to precise machining.
After the completion of this project, high-end titanium alloy, zirconium alloy plates, rods, tubes, forged ring parts and other precision components can be mass-produced on a large scale. The products are widely applicable to aerospace structural components, marine engineering equipment, new energy equipment, intelligent robots and other high-tech fields, fully covering the market demand for high-end special materials.

With the project entering production, the entire industrial chain layout of new materials in Ti'an will be further improved, filling the gap in regional high-end titanium-zirconium precision manufacturing capacity. It will drive the titanium material industry to advance from conventional processing to high precision, high added value, and intelligent manufacturing, continuously strengthening the core competitiveness of the regional special new materials industry, and continuously injecting strong impetus for the high-quality development of local high-end manufacturing.
