Products Description
Titanium-copper composite rods, also called titanium-clad copper bars, are copper rods coated with a certain thickness of titanium layer. The base material of this bar is copper of grade T1 or T2, and the outer layer material is pure titanium of grades ZTA1, TA1, ZTA2 and TA2.
Standard: Comply with GB/T 12769-2003
Cross-sectional shapes: square, rectangular, circular, flat and drum-shaped
The quality requirements include uniform and consistent titanium layer thickness, generally within ±20% of the nominal thickness.
The adhesion rate is greater than 95%. The higher the index is, the better its electrical conductivity will be. This index was tested by the JB / 100GA type pulse reflection ultrasonic flaw detector.
Sufficient bonding strength. The size of this indicator determines whether titanium-copper cladding will cause titanium-copper delamination due to thermal expansion and contraction. Theoretically, shear testing should be used to test this indicator, but this method is a destructive test and is difficult to apply in practical situations. Therefore, generally, before assembly and use, a certain amount of mechanical processing is carried out, such as turning and planing. When the titanium layer remains at 0.3 to 0.5mm and does not separate from the base material, it can be determined that the titanium-copper bonding strength meets the usage requirements.
There are four main manufacturing techniques at present: hot extrusion, hot extrusion stretching, blast composite or blast composite hot rolling.
Titanium-clad copper bars are mainly used in electrolysis, electroplating and hydrometallurgy.
- Under strong corrosive working conditions, this bar is a conductor capable of carrying large currents. Due to the excellent corrosion resistance of the coating metal titanium and the good electrical conductivity of the core metal copper, the titanium layer can protect the copper metal, prevent the corrosion of the copper conductor, ensure the uniformity and consistency of the current density, improve the quality grade of electrolytic products, and at the same time, the contamination of the electrolyte caused by the corrosion of copper conductors has been eliminated, so the conductors require no cleaning or maintenance.
- During the electroplating process, Titanium-clad copper bars are mainly used as hangers to support the workpieces to be electroplated. Good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance can ensure the stable progress of the electroplating process, reduce electrolyte pollution, save energy and improve the environment.
- In the hydrometallurgical process, titanium-copper composite rods are mainly used as electrode materials and can withstand strongly corrosive media.
