During the use of the filter device, various filtering impurities will be gradually accumulated on the titanium filter elemen which will affects the performance of the device. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the filter element regularly. The following are four methods for cleaning the titanium filter element.

Acid washing
Soak the filter element in a 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours, with the temperature maintained at 40 degrees. It can be more effective in an ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, rinse it from inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral, and measure the conductivity. Blow dry it with pure air at a pressure greater than 0.4 MPa.
Alkali washing
Soak the filter element in a 3%-5% sodium hydroxide analytical pure solution for 30-60 minutes, with the temperature still maintained at around 40 degrees. It works best in an ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, rinse it from inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral, and measure the conductivity. Blow dry it with pure air at a pressure greater than 0.4 MPa.
Note: These two methods should be selected based on whether the impurities in the filtrate are soluble in acid or alkali.
Enzyme washing
For organic matter contamination, it can be combined with surfactants for cleaning. For cell fragment contamination, the system can be combined with enzyme cleaning for better results.
Daily cleaning
Regular online reverse blowing cleaning should be carried out. Use pure compressed air or filtered original liquid or clean water for reverse flushing, which can reduce the number of times cleaning by these methods.
